"Are you looking for the ultimate dream horse?  Meet Mellow Yellow!  Mellow is a spectacular and rare cream-colored 6 year old draft cross gelding with long, naturally wavy mane and tail, and a stunning creamy golden coat that dapples out to create a unique dappled palomino color.  His hair is naturally thick and wavy all on its own, with a cascading forelock that reaches his noseband and a wavy tail that glistens off the sun even in the drab grey of winter.  He stands approx. 15.3H with a thick & correct build yet he is light on his feet and agile particularly for a draft cross.  If his looks aren't enough to completely captivate you, zoom your gaze out to take in his correct build, sporting large, sturdy, strong bare feet that don't require shoes, even when we have trail ridden him over rocks, mud, snow, and ice and on paved and unpaved roads.  Check out his long, beautifully arched neck, wide chest, strong hind end, straight legs, sporty shoulder and total absence of any notable blemishes.  Meet his kind, warm brown eyes, affectionately poking out from behind his wavy forelock, eager to greet you like man's best friend and happy to go on the adventures you have planned for that day.  Then look at him in motion - check out his flatkneed trot with its beautiful reach, the ease of sitting it because it is so smooth and comfortable and, well, easy!  Posting is optional and his trot is very easy on your back, so easy even a 5 year old child can sit his trot with no stirrups (please see video). Mellow is very true to his name and possesses a calm and steady temperament.  I have never once seen him buck or rear and he is not a spooky type of horse.  In fact, during the great icing of this past winter, Mellow was up in the barn for most of the month due to the icing of his hilly pasture.  After having almost 3 weeks off and being cooped up in subfreezing temperatures, when most horses would be losing their mind, his very first ride back I rode him bareback in the snow (as seen on video).  To say he needs no lungeing or prep is an understatement, in my opinion.  He was also ridden by small children around that time.  Despite his steady, calm temperament, Mellow is no plug when asked to work, and he will happily jump fences, hack out, and moves off the leg nicely and smoothly and seems to enjoy dressage as well.  Mellow loves to jump and is a total natural over fences, and has jumped a variety of fences both inside and outside the arena.  He would make the most amazing fox hunting horse or trail rider, dressage horse, event horse, or really suit a wide variety of athletic disciplines or be content to be a beautiful & cherished family horse.  If you are looking for a horse that possesses both brains AND rare beauty, he is just the ticket you've been waiting for.   Mellow has a great start in a broad manner (western, jumping, dressage basics, kids riding, trails both alone & in company, exposed to flags, whips, tarps, bouncy balls, long lines/ground driving, XC jumping, bareback, crosses water, riding double, ships around with ease, etc.) so he can continue in any direction you choose -- he has the brains, beauty and the talent -- to make that winning combination.  
Mellow is very friendly and absolutely loves any attention he can get.  He is very much ""in your pocket"" with a willing to please disposition and not a mean bone in his body.  He radiates kindness and is a horse any family would be proud to call their own.  He is well-behaved for the vet & farrier.  He is easy to have around the barn & farm, he is happy to be turned out or in a stall.  He has no vices and no stall vices and he is not overly messy in his stall. He is not on grain as we choose to not grain our horses unless they need it.  He gets a ration balancer for vitamins.  He gets along well with both mares and geldings in turn out. He gets free choice hay and is easy to have around, comes up to you in the pasture and has not displayed herd bound behaviors.  He loads onto a trailer without issue.  He stands nicely to be bathed and picks up all his feet.  We have not noticed any ""quirks"" while handling him and he is used to kids, dogs, chickens, tractors, ATVs, cats, and cows, etc.  Mellow is not on any maintenance and is UTD on vaccines, dental, coggins, deworming & farrier.  His age of 6 years old is verified by vet & equine dentist.  Mellow is eligible for registry with the American Warmblood Society & Sporthorse Registry if his new owner desires.  He has no health or soundness issues and is 100% sound and healthy with no notable scars, blemishes, or prior injuries.   As a courtesy, he has a recent vet exam on file and was found to be sound and healthy with no issues.  Buyers are welcome to do any additional PPEs at their own option & expense.  All horses sold by us come with 1 week of free board, and boarding is available after 1 week at a per diem basis for any reasonable length of time, which we are happy to customize to your needs and the needs of your boarding barn or home.
